I caught the book quite by accident. I was at a local gas station and was shocked at how much the price of gas had jumped and happened to mention it to a lady at the pump next to me, and to my surprise, I ended up knowing her but had'nt seen her in years. She was a friend of our family and her mother was like a grandmother to me, who saddly just passed away in the last year or so. Well, the lady at the pump next to me was just dropping a book off and asked if my kids were at the right age for this and would enjoy a good book to read. I had read about this "book crossing" in our local paper a couple of years ago, so I knew a little about how this worked. I was thrilled to get the book and share it with our kids. But having company over for a few days visiting from Vancouver Island and being right in the middle of a major house renovation, the book got moved and misplaced and I just found it! I will be reading it tonight to my kids and passing it along. Now I just have to find the right place to put it. I hope whoever finds it next will enjoy the experience too.
