I'm about two-thirds-way through this and it's interesting. It's a very quick read and not really challenging or confronting. The imagery in parts is great but I don't really like the narrator - or don't really mind too much what happens to her. It's a bit disjointed which is not really working for me.I plan to release this in the snow! Somewhere in New Zealand. Next week.
Friday 14th July (Bastille Day!)
Maybe I was a little harsh in my initial judgement of this novel. I warmed to it and found the story more engaging toward the end. A nice romance and a good tragic ending. What was expected but satisfying all the same.
