Jane and the Stillroom Maid

This is the fifth book in Stephanie Barron's series featuring a sleuthing Jane Austen. Obviously the stories are fictional, but they are woven cleverly into the story we know of Jane Austen's life. The mystery plot is quite good, if a little gruesome.

Jane Austen + gruesome - sounds interesting!
I want to read this myself :-)

Clearing out my bookshelves and I have found, to my shame, some bookcrossing books that I didn't journal. This is one of them. I'm so sorry :-(
Looking back at my notes, I find that I quite enjoyed this at the time, but found it a bit slow. I suppose I'm not a great fan of historical novels and I don't think I would read more by this author.
Hoping to wild release in the near future.
