Excellent Women

I'm less than halfway through this but I'm already fairly certain that it's going to become part of my permanent collection.
Delightful, witty, and funny. Mildred Lathbury is a 31 year-old spinster in 1950s England. The daughter of a clergyman, she is active in her church and friends with the unmarried vicar and his sister. She has a tendency to get very involved in other people's lives, including her new neighbours and some of their friends. She is an "excellent woman" always ready to make tea in a crisis!
I will certainly read this again,(preferably curled up with a cup of tea - or even ovaltine.)
