This has sat on my shelf for too long - time to pick it up and read it as part of my challenge to read all of the BBC's Top 100 books
It took the best part of two months to wade through this, and I almost gave up several times. There's nothing really wrong with it as such, it's just a bit long and I found it a bit dull. A bit like a soap opera where nothing happens...
Still, I got there eventually, and I did like the finale. Maybe the next reader will enjoy it more
