With a title like this, how can one go wrong?
Quite a lot of fun. Similar to the Jasper Fforde books, but very different as well. I would read this author again. And all of his titles are this funny!
Thank you for fulfilling one of my wishlist requests. I hope this is as good as its title. Will read and pass along.
I found myself disapointed as I read this tale of a boy and his teddy bear investigating the murders of nursery rhyme characters in Toy City. Been there, done that, you know? But the ending is a doozy. I don't know if I'd say it was worth the wait, as it was quite a long haul, but clever as.
To TOC lunch, 5/28/06.

Picked up from TOC today. I've been wanting to read this one for a while. The title sucked me in & held my attention hostage. This one will get read soon.
I was holding out hope for this one, it was recommended to me by Amazon & has been on my "wish list" for a while now. Sadly, I don't think this book is for me. I tried, I really did, but 20 pages in I realized I just couldn't tolerate the stilted dialogue. I think I'm just going to put it in the pile for the next TOC meeting & move on to another book at this point.

Received with pleasure at TOC luncheon. It is the BEST TITLE EVER!
I slogged through it for the intermittent good jokes but was appalled at parts and disappointed in the whole. Can we give the title to another author? I think Robert Rankin has a following – but, like Chuck Palahniuk’s, I’m a little afraid of them. Reserved for return to TOC.
