Found this one in my mailbox yesterday. It shouldn't sit too long on my TBR pile as it is the subject of my March book club meeting. Thanks for the trade, OldBroad (I always have trouble typing that. It feels like I am insulting you.)

I really wasn't looking forward to this one and my fears were well founded. I tried and tried to finish it before my book club, but only managed half. I went to my club anyway and found myself in the majority. The only reason I finished it was because the other members said that the second half was much better than the first. They lied. I think that I am at the wrong place in my life to enjoy this book. With an 18 month old chanting "up, up" and piles of laundry to do as well as dinner to prepare and a house to keep above the sty label, I was just not in a frame of mind for a hymn on living life. Right now life is living me.

Anyway, thanks for sharing. I will see that it gets a good home to go to next.

Reserved for a RABCK to snoopy3 after I finish the book!

Journal Entry 8 by heartsong2 on Friday, June 16, 2006
I finished reading it this morning, and I found it a very pleasant read. I identified with the generational minister/midwestern flavor--reminded me very much of my own family. And you don't read stuff like that in a novel very often if ever. I felt like I was sitting there listening to my grandfather. I think it's a good story about how to live your life with grace. I thought it was very refreshing.

Sending off to snoopy3 in the morning!
