Picked this up at the Book Thing, for BC. I've enjoyed this author before, but I think I already have a copy of this on somewhere buried on Mt. TBR.
This is my 49th book registered for the BC Race to 3 Million.
From the cover -
When Joss Grant inherits Belheddon Hall in Essex from a mother she never knew, she and her husband, Luke, move in with their young son, Tom. All Joss knows of the house is that her two young brothers died there many years ago, but local townspeople whisper of a curse on both the house and Joss's family. Something is definitely wrong: the laughter of young boys echoes through its rooms; Tom goes into hysterics at the sight of a "tin man"; a ghostly voice whispers "Katherine"; and fresh white roses are found mysteriously strewn throughout the house.
The birth of her second son only adds to Joss's terror. And when the marks of violent pinches start appearing on both boys, it seems obvious to Luke that Joss herself is responsible for the dangers at Belheddon Hall. Now she is on her own to solve the centuries-old curse of the house, and to save her sons - and herself - before another generation falls victim.

OK, this book sat on the marker for over a week. (I'd checked on it twice in between, and it was picked up and moved - looked at? - at least twice, cause the position on the marker changed.) But in over a week (and we had about an inch and a half of rain in that time), no one took this poor book. Does no one read in New Windsor?
So I brought it home for now. May re-release it later, or try a different book there. (There's a spring craft fair nearby on Saturday.)
