I found this fair-condition '76 hardcover in the swap shop of Nashua's Four Hills landfill/recycle center. I'd read and enjoyed many of Mary Stewart's novels - both her historical ones and her more modern gothic-y ones - in my teens, though I admit I don't remember if I read this one or not.

Found this as noted below at the Exit 4 Shell Station ATM (Bank of America) and have started reading it. If I finish it before Sunday, I will have one of my boys take it back to college with him and leave it at a bus station or airport along the way, to get it moving to a new locale. I will write again when I finish it.
