Not the best of the line of P&C books, but still better than others. I prefer (so far) now that I've gone through the others. However, this is still a super thriller and has you on the edge of your seat a few times. After 4 books I am starting to get just slightly bored with Pendergast. In this book, he seems to take on even more of an unbelievable super-human persona. I think I liked him better when he was a bit more of a "real" person that had amazing abilities. He's now become very other-worldly and unattainable.
Don't let this review make you think I'm turned off in any way! I'm still very much hooked. I'm just looking forward to the possibility of P&C going off in a different direction with other characters. Soon . . . ;)
