I'm not sure what this is about, though I remember reading favourable things about this book some time ago. This is what Peter Carey says about it on the back cover:
"Immensely moving... It deals with big subjects - I can think of no weightier ones than love and survival - without ever losing its sense of humour and its lightness of touch"

This was like a collection of short stories, written in differing styles (letters, first person, third person, court transcripts, and more) with common denominators such as water, woodworms, rafts, and Noah's Ark, etc.
There's a certain smugness to the writing, but it's certainly interesting reading!
...Might offend the pious.

I'm journalling on my brother's behalf: he thought it was "alright", but he loved the last chapter (I knew he would!).
