I read this book at the beginning of the year, and I think it helped me to appreciate "Mrs. Dalloway" more.

Somehow, I didn't manage to grasp the story's deeper meaning (I'm quite sure there must have been one): to me, it was just a book about three women with irrelevant problems (such as baking a not-quite-perfect cake - OMG!)... Admittedly, I've not yet read "Mrs. Dalloway", but I don't think it would have made me like the story any better - I especially disliked the Laura Brown character.

I'm sure there's another bookcrosser out there who'll appreciate this book more than I did, so I'll make it part of the bookbox I'm going to start.
