I love this novel! Although it revolves around the tensions inherent in the relationship of the members of a string quartet, you don't have to be a musician, or even particularly musical, to love it too. Vikram Seth obviously knows his stuff when it comes to music, and the narrative is drenched in it, but the central themes don't exclude anyone.
