This book was given to me at Xmas by my daughter. It is good to read a book by a young chinese person with a more modern attitude aboutlife and the impact of that in China. Obviously Wei Hui didn't go through the same hardships as many whose stories have been told about chinese life in the 19th and 20th centuries. It's good to pass this book onto others as it opens our eyes and minds about the different peoples with whom we live.

Thanks BizzieLizzie. Will definitely be reading this before releasing it. Looking forward to reading a book that was "publicly burned in China for its sensual nature and irreverent style" and discovering a side of China of which I am unaware.

Interesting story but the writing style annoyed me immensely! I am going to release this at the Adelaide Bookcrossing Convention this weekend, as part of Australia's Biggest One Day Release.
