I found this incredibly difficult to read and not particularly enjoyable! However I also know of many people who have liked it, so.....!
I'm reading a lot of Iris Murdoch's books at the moment. Will be starting this one today!
Sorry I've had this so long! I've tried to read it a few times with little success. Someone else will probably love it, but not me.

Stuck to the shelf unread for too long, so I'm releasing this at the York meetup. It's a shame- I was a big Iris Murdoch fan at one point, but I just can't seem to get in the right mood for this book.

Enjoyed this - I enjoyed the narration style. The main character is not very likeable which I struggled with a bit. Interesting but not an easy read.
