Just received in the mail yesterday (which shall be known as "bookday" from the stack of books on my front porch! My mail carrier must despise me on her walking route!). Thanks for sharing, cyber-pixie!! I want to read this one sooner than later and I'll journal when done...
WOW!!! This one kept me guessing almost to the very end. It was a sort of "Profiler Meets To Kill A Mockingbird" with a little Outer Limits and Peyton Place thrown into the mix. A very good, twisty psychological thriller that explores the unchecked mob mentality when life in a small town goes horribly wrong. Excellent characterization and subtext, believable action and history, and enough left unexplained to really set your world on edge. I am glad that I don't live in this fictional town! Promised this one to 'the bookstore guy' who told me about Graham Joyce's novels.
