It's a new month... time for some new bug fixes!
While Matt is still working on harnessing the book data that we all have contributed to, and making it available for searches, he's also been rather busy fixing other things, and even adding some nifty little features. Read all about it in this Announcements forum post.

I am NOT a romance reader, but... This book is funny! I have since read a few more books by the same author and have enjoyed them. This one I found quirky and funny.

RELEASE NOTES:

Journal Entry 3 by DIXIECHICK45 from Monroe, Georgia USA on Sunday, July 24, 2005
My daughter, whom I'd been visiting, spotted the book on the table in the Bemidji airport as we were waiting for my flight back to Atlanta to board. She commented on it being a bookcrossing book and gave it to me to look at.

I was so excited about this concept as we'd both read about bookcrossing.com in Reader's Digest awhile back but had forgotten about it. I was still reading another book that I had brought with me to read on the flight back home, so I tucked the bookcrossing book into my carry-on bag to read the first chance I got! Which I'm still waiting for!

Well unfortunately I'm still trying to get to it! It's in a stack of books on my bedside table just waiting their turn to be opened, and their "story world" discovered! I'm an avid reader as are all of my daughters, my husband, my mother, sister, brother, father, a grandson, a new son-in-law as well as an ex-husband!

I can't wait to read this bookcrossing book to be able to share my comments on it as well, and release it into the wild...(I just absolutely adore the way bookcrossing.com phrases things!) What a brilliant idea! And I can't wait to order some of the bookcrossing label release items.

The following is a brief history as to why I haven't as of yet been able to "get around to it" (reading the book):

Life has been really hectic the last several months, but very wonderful and exciting. We have a beautiful and precious little 5 mo. old granddaughter (who has a headful of georgeous red hair that matches all of ours)! She was born in Feb. Then I went in May to visit and help out my daughter and grandson who lived in Bemidji, MN (henceforth where I found the bookcrossing book when I was leaving). She was graduating from nursing school, took her R.N. exam and passed, then she and our 6yr.old grandson moved down here to live and work. She has found a great nursing position in a hospital nearby. And my youngest daughter and fiance were married the first part of July; and they also live nearby which is also a wonderful thing. And so because of their wedding many family members came from all over the U.S. and as a bonus it was another happy family reunion!

So needless to say, 2005 has been a wonderful year for us so far. And we feel that we have so many blessings and so much to be thankful for. But with all these things going on it doesn't leave me much time for reading except around midnight to 2am. which by that time I'm having to read paragraphs over and over because I keep falling asleep; or if I do manage to get in a few chapters when I pick up where I left off the following night nothing sounds familiar so I have to backtrack and read the same thing over.

Well I know up above under "Comments" it states that one can write as much or as little as one likes, so I think it's obvious which one of the choices I've picked! So since this is getting to be more in the "short story" category I will wrap this up; maybe even have time to finish the book I'm currently reading and start on my bookcrossing book!

So I close by saying that I'm so happy for the gift of "loving to read" which of course is synonymous with "the love for books"! It is still the best form of entertainment on our planet, maybe even our galaxy!

Happy Bookcrossing Forever......:) Dixiechick45
