Liz Dalby is the first ever "foreigner" to become a real Geisha. She writes about her story and the extraordinary, closed and quite secret world of the Geisha's in Japan.
It is a world of tradition, grace and beauty. These women are skilled and trained as "mistresses of entertainment" - they are not the Japanese equivalent of escorts or prostitutes in other countries.
This is a fascinating book. Well worth a read.

Actually this book has been re released by me as I didn't get to release it where originally planned!
