Taking out of my classics bookbox. Thank you, dospescados.
I finally read this slim volume of poems by Edgar Allan Poe. Edgar Allan Poe had an extensive knowledge of Greek and/or Roman mythology. Unfortunately, my knowledge is rudimentary so I didn't understand or appreciate the poems that referred to mythology. Many of poems tend to be sad or mystical. There are also a lot of poems written about loved ones who have died. Perhaps, almost two hundred years ago this was a much more common experience.
Some of his poems are quite good. These are the ones that I was already familiar with, such as "The Raven" and "Annabelle Lee". I liked the poem, "The Bells" also.

I got this book ages ago, but I haven't read it yet... mostly cause of my school and the fact that I've been reading other books I kinda had on my waiting list...
