I had heard a lot about this author from British friends (particularly The Player of Games) and this was the first of his books that I found here in the states.

Nice book - I've read several of his others now and he seems to like the technique of having 2 or 3 plots going on that don't seem to be related at all, but end up coming together in the end.

If you like intelligent ships, searches for hidden planets, and a well crafted story, look for this book.
