Off to Australia!
I love the moving-and-starting-over books. They all end the same: people fail and move back home. This book details a move I've always quietly dreamed of, a move to Paris. I really loved reading the story of this little family, and the slow transformation of their illusions about finding a French Utopia.
arrived today, thank you! love the BC stamp (?) ... I am envious!
the title and the bookcrossing stamp inside were the most interesting parts of this book.
how very disappointing, written in a way that forced me to read, re-read and read again each sentence i gave up after a few pages, no enjoyment in it for me, almost made me think it was writen in LOTE...

Picked up this at the Perth Meetup, looking forward to reading this book.
Was a bit disappointed in this book. Written in a very journalistic style, was hoping for soemthing that would make it desperate to go back to Paris.

Releasing at the Dux Meetup
Oh dear ..... I actually picked up this book at the Dux Cafe last year and forgot to journal that it was safe with me! (Sorry! Sorry! Sorry!) Thank you for sharing this .... Some of the stories in this book were published in "The New Yorker" (Paris Journal column) .... while the rest are other stories that the author wrote while in Paris. How lovely it was to read about the experiences of the family. I wish I could go to Paris..... sigh! (I will be bringing this book to the next meet-up that I go to and it shall be released there.)
