Just like the Nanny Diaries, this book got weird at the end and it is tainting my overall feeling on the book. I liked it enough. There were a number of times I felt like putting it down and then the story would twist just enough to keep me reading. The whole "Girl" "Guy" thing got on my nerves. This is a real departure from the Nanny Diaries in its storyline. I really prefered the Nanny Diaries. I don't doubt that others will enjoy this just fine. The fact that Girl took the moral high road did give you a little bit of a good feeling in the end.

I am throwing this one in to the chick lit bookbox!

I did not like the book from the get-go and couldn't finish it. In comparison to The Nanny Diaries, it was far less humorous and the first chapter was overboard on the melodrama. I think perhaps it would have been more interesting if they began introducing us to Girl's character and humor straight-away, instead of dumping us right into in the office environment. I also thought her brother's character was a tad far-fetched for a 14-year old. I'm so disappointed!
I'll be curious to see what these two authors will release next.
Thanks so much for sending me the book, MandMsMom! :)
