San Andreas

One of MacLean's better contemporary thrillers. Fans of Robert Ludlum should enjoy predecessor MacLean's taught, nail-biting suspense and vivid characters. Personally, I prefer MacLean's WWII-set military adventures ("H.M.S. Ulysses", "Guns of Navarone", "Ice Station Zebra", etc.), but he's got a lot of "contemporary" works (1970s or 1980s) as well, as "San Andreas" certainly was one of the better-written titles from that period.
