A good read, I enjoyed the story, though the climax was a bit over the top. It reads a bit like a movie begging to made (huh, what a though), but its still fun, and brings up some interesting issues. The only other David Brin book I've read is Earth, which I really enjoyed, and this was a good follow up to it.
