London private investigator Ulysses Finnegan Donaghue and his secretary, Bridget, have joined an archaeological expedition to the Franco-Italian Alps to view some Bronze Age rock drawings. It is perhaps the find of the decade, made by a young archaeologist, Oliver Hardcastle. However, it is immediately clear that the seventeen members of the group are piqued by more than just curiosity. At the centre is Hardcastle whose sole objective, besides immortality, is to seduce every woman on the trip. Unfortunately, death puts a stop to his plans and Donaghue must solve a murder.
