I read this book awhile ago, I thought it was good. A lot of usefull info here.

I love this book so much I had to read it twice! The advice in this book is mostly common sense, but Susan Jane Gilman has such a funny and unique way of expressing herself that the writing itself is enough reason to read this book. Besides, it's always good to be reminded of the common sense presented in this book, because too often we get lost in irrational, destructive behavior. For example, the attitudes towards food in the chapter If You Can't Order Dessert, You Can't Ask for a Raise might seem crazy, but yet there are people out there who obsess so much over food, they don't even realize how much harm they are doing to themselves. In the same chapter Susan Jane Gilman also says: "Fuck the vegans, I say. Anyone who doesn't eat ice cream for purely "ethical" reasons is a killjoy and a moron and ultimately not to be trusted." She treats conservatives, republicans, and many other groups with similar brutality, so if you belong to any of these groups, you'd better have your sense of humour intact and not take yourself too seriously if you're going to read this book.

I read this book pretty soon after I got it, and I loved it. I saved it to read it later, but now I thought I might just as well let it find new readers, so I took it with me to San Francisco to release it.
