Different cover
"Fifteen-year-old Christopher had a photographic memory. He understands maths. He understands science. What he can't understand are other human beings. When he finds his neighbour's dog lying dead on the lawn, he decides to track down the killer and write a murder mystery about it. But what other mysteries will he end up uncovering?"
Brilliant heart warming (and sometimes heart wretching) story about a boy trying to find the truth. Highly recommended.

Sending to tantan for ravenbear's book relay Thursday 21/10/04.
Received this with much thanks to kirst040 as part of the Australian Instant Relay game. I'm looking forward to this read.
Wow, I hadn't realised I'd had this for so long! I read most of it during a somewhat unplanned hospital visit (with a light moment caused when the nurse had a moment of concern thinking that the spots of blood on the dog on the cover had actually come from me), and it was certainly great for passing the time. A fantastic look into the workings of a mind very different to my own - a brilliant read. I felt for Christopher all the way along his journey through life.
I'm going to offer this up on the Oz VBB, or if unclaimed pass it on by other means.

Claimed by L1nda in the Oz VBB. Will be heading off later this week.
Received safe and sound, thanks!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I think it should be a must read for anyone involved with someone with Austism. I could see many of the traits of the children I have worked with in Christopher, often these traits seem odd until you realise the reasoning. I'm so glad I read it!
