I only got through the introduction and part of the first chapter, which seemed to be a criticism of NPR's "Fresh Air" as delighting in morbid curiosity. I can't think of anything more benign than "Fresh Air" but maybe I'm missing something sinister about Terry Gross that the author has some insight on...I'll never know.
