I'm sorry, but I thought this book was simply the author's attempt to be interesting. It's hard not to imagine that the idea for an anonymous book was at least in part a publicity stunt.

In any case, I thought it tried too hard to shock -- a bit like a naughty schoolchild using rude words to see what effect it might achieve and get some attention.

Once read, it was hard to know why it was written, I didn't find it liberating, mearly silly -- the author seems to think she's the first to discover the orgasm and wants us all to share.

No-one in my book group liked it, but it's still worth a read so you can see what all the fuss is about. I'm offering it up as an Australia/NZ bookring. Just pm me.

This book arrived in my mailbox a couple of weeks ago - sorry for not journalling it earlier. It arrived about the same time as my thesis examiner's reports, which took priority! The corrected thesis was handed in today so I am looking forward to reading some fiction.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

RELEASE NOTES:

Oops! I think this was sent to me as part of a bookring (or maybe bookrelay, as I don't recall any "do you still have this book?" emails, in which case it is okay). Somehow it got misplaced in my bookshelf and now after a move I need to move it along.

Read some, not all of it. I like the concept of the book. I just felt some of the content was purely written for shock value and I soon got over it.

Will leave this donation outside the store sometime this evening.
