I'm reading through the Kinsey detective stories in order, so can't comment on this one yet! However there is a good start (for me anyway), in that from reading the back of the book I find that the 'quarry' could refer to the place the body is found, whereas before I got the book I thought it was someone being chased! I love the clever use of language.
This story is apparently a reinvestigation of an 18-year unsolved murder, where even the identity of the victim is unknown.

It's amazing how such an old case could have anything worth following up on, but somehow they manage it. I suppose it helps having a couple of the original cops on the team! Yes, Kinsey is part of a team in this one, but she still has plenty of scope for her own particular brand of insight to come into play.
