Synopsis
The New York Times bestselling author of Second Nature and Here on Earth presents "a captivating...truly original novel" (Cosmopolitan), the story of a divorced woman, her disillusioned teenage son, and the events that change their lives in ways both simple and extraordinary. When Keith Rosen runs away from his Florida home - inexplicably taking along a motherless baby - his mother is perplexed and terrified. She takes off on her own journey to find him. And Turtle Moon follows their path, in a suspenseful and beautifully written story that confirms once again the exquisite talent of Alice Hoffman.

Das Buch ist heute bei mir angekommen. Ich freue mich schon sehr, es zu lesen, ich hatte nämlich grad gar kein neues Buch mehr.

Vielen Dank BCZ Königsblut!

It wasn't an easy book to read. Sometimes I thought it was brilliant, then I lost the plot again for several pages. There are many twists and turns which don't make it any easier to follow the story.

It's the story of the meanest boy of Verity, a place in Florida in the hottest time of the year, in the beginning of May. It's also the story of his mother, a motherless baby and a man who was left by his mother when he was a baby. Dogs are important in it just as bees and gumbo-limbo trees ;-))

I was somewhat shocked when I noticed the inside photo - such a sweet, chintzy one, HORRIBLE!

The book, as all books I've so far read from Alice Hoffman took off very slowly confusing me a lot with different characters and settings. But then after quite a number of pages, it starts drawing you into it. A nice reading with interesting characters and a good story.

Will be sent to nikel27 after her return from vacations.

I think it was a very strange story. It was fun to read it, although I didn't understand all jokes. Much fun for the next reader!
