Paid top dollar for this in Bari, Italy as I needed an English book to read. I finished it in a couple of days. It's not the most eloquent writing or riveting story. I was mislead by Ann Patchett's praise on the back cover because I love Patchett's novels. Alas, I'm keen to see where this book may end up on this wonderful planet after I release it in the beautiful old town of Monopoli, Italy on Tuesday 14 May 2024.
