I got this softcover from an online seller, intrigued by the title. It's set in the author's "Daikaiju Yuki" 'verse, a distant post-apocalyptic future where a pantheon of gigantic creatures - the Pantheon Colossi - protects the world from other huge monsters. Here, boyfriends Niko and Manu run their own craft brewery among the little islands of their home region, while avoiding the legendary Lost Continent. But when their excursion cruise is attacked by a swarm of eel-like creatures with deadly jaws and tentacles - in conjunction with a heavily-armed band of pirates - it seems our heroes are in serious trouble...

The book's more of a novella, short and fast-moving, and Niko and Manu plus a handful of other survivors do manage to escape - thanks to an ancient artifact that binds the awesome eel-being Pirangon. The story took some turns I didn't expect, and was both grisly and entertaining. And as of the epilogue, our heroes are still going strong, with their brewery Abyssal Brewing just releasing the new creation, Pharaoh Porter!

I plan to leave this book in the seating area inside Epigram Brewery, in keeping with the book's craft-brewing theme. (Their Babarosa is my favorite, but I hope to try the Shinigami!) Hope someone enjoys the book!
