I saw this paperback version while purusing a bookstore in Denmark. I had heard SO many people talking about it, I had to grab it before I headed to Paris. I didn't get it read before my trip to the Louvre.I really enjoyed this book; Enough to want to re-read it with an art book and my scriptural references sitting next to me.
I find it amusing that so many people have their noses bent out of joint about it. I found it to be quite a page turner, I couldn't wait to find out what happened next. I did feel a bit let down with the ending, though I can't put my finger on it exactly. Perhaps it just felt too rushed. Overall, I think an excellent read. It made me want to learn more about a whole plethra of subjects, art, symbolism, religion.....
