I picked this up at a local charity shop because it's set in Kentucky! I'm participating in a 50 US States Reading Challenge and Kentucky is one of the states for which I've had a little more terrible finding something. This local shop, for some reason, had a few Kentucky-set books, so I grabbed them (never bad to have options, right?). I think this one seems like a good candidate to be my Kentucky book.

This was a pretty quick read, in part because it held my interest well. This book is set in two different parts of Kentucky, so I think it was a good choice for my reading challenge; it gives glimpses of different aspects of the state this way, both geographically and culturally. Although I haven't been to Kentucky, this book reminded me of time spent in West Virginia and made me wonder how similar the two places are.

Released at Port Hope ONRoute during a quick stop on a long and rainy drive east this afternoon. I left it on the table of one of the comfy seating areas; it was at the front of the building, facing out towards the highway.
