The Collector

In this chilling archetypal tale of good and evil, a beautiful, idealistic young woman studying art in London is kidnapped by a startlingly ordinary young man who wants only to keep her--like the butterflies he has collected before her.
Thank you, redhouse! I was very exceited to see this show up here today! I can't wait to read it, although I know I have a few books I need to read before I can get to this one.
And the bookmark was great! I've always been fond of the big red box!

I actually read this some time earlier this year. It was originally recommended to me by a friend of the family. That should have been my first clue! He over-dramatizes most things and I probably should have remembered that when I listened to him rave over The Collector. Not that this book was bad, but he had me so hyped up that I suppose it did not meet my expectations. It was not the scariest thing that I had ever read as he had suggested it would be.
Definately not a bad read for it's time though. :)
