I bought this cheaply as part of a 3 for £5 deal. It is actually much better written and more interesting than the packaging suggests and it's packed with (possibly too much) detail about the snowboarding world. The flashback scenes which describe the gang's competition snowboarding days are probably more effective than the present day "mystery" bit, although there is still fun to be had in trying to guess who the baddy might be. I got a bit fed up with the depiction of pretty much all snowboarders as sexy but difficult/damaged daredevils - surely you sometimes get some ugly ones? Then again, the author was one herself, and I did have fun trying to guess which character was supposed to represent her.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Released at the York BookCrossing meetup.
Releasing to Eagle & Child.
One of those books that seems to take ages to get going and then suddenly picks up paces and steams towards the finishing line like a ... fast thing.
The author knows her stuff because she was a snowboarder herself so it's all realistic and stuff. The character are well thought out. The plot is kinda guessable buy it'll be one guess out of many possibilities. The dialogue is believable, the motives understandable and the ending brilliant.
Read this if you have patience to get thru the first half and a heart strong enough to bear the excitement of the second half.
