The Vignes twin sisters will always be identical. Although this story started out a tad slowly for my liking I am so glad I persevered and continued reading. I gradually became invested in each person's individual journey as they grappled with issues of race, loneliness, abuse, motherhood and a sense of identity. It’s a poignant and lovely story that takes the reader on a journey through several lifetimes with empathy and hope.
