Alas, sometimes trying to thin mount -to-be-read, I find new books. This one that has been around the block a few times presented itself at Atlanta's Mary Scott Nature Park Little Free Library. I was intrigued. I like the first paragraph. So I've added a book.
From the Back: Hamsun's portrait of a man rejecting the claims of bourgeois society for a Rousseauian embrace of Nature and Eros, in a remarkable new translation.
"The work contains a harmony found only in the highest types of poetry; it is actually poetry set in prose, and boasts the best traits of each." Isaac Bashevis Singer

I approached this for a couple of pages. It's interesting but I was not engaged enough to read it anytime soon. So I am hoping another reader will take it up. Isaac Bashevis Singer says the book is poetic. It's poetry month. So I send this out to honor poetry. Pan, the god from pagan antiquity is often in poetry.
