Het boek is in Haulerwijk aangekomen met dank aan Janna2. Ik kijk ernaar uit om het te lezen, omdat ik jaren geleden op vakantie in Nieuw Zeeland ook in Hokitika ben geweest.

Dit is een ingewikkeld boek. Ben halverwege nog een keer opnieuw begonnen om alle verhaallijnen te kunnen volgen. Aan het eind bleven er nog wel wat vraagtekentjes over ;-). Maar ... het geeft een mooi beeld van het leven in Hokitika tijdens de goudkoorts. Ik was er 15 jaar geleden en vond het daarom heel leuk dit boek te lezen. Het boek mag mee op onze aanstaande campertrip en wordt onderweg vrijgelaten (Planning: de camperplaats in Oirschot).
