I got this softcover at Barnes and Noble. It's about a Japanese woman studying in the US, who finds that her new roommate is a Muslim woman from Saudi Arabia. Told mostly in one-page strips, it's very sweet and funny - and also informative, with Nada teaching Satoko lots of things about various Muslim traditions that Satoko had made incorrect assumptions about. And the learning goes both ways - indeed, more than that, as the circle of friends expands to include a young Christian woman and several of Nada's Muslim friends. Tidbits about the ups and downs of wearing the hijab and other styles of veiling, compare-and-contrast preferred styles of cooking, pop culture, and more - Nada even reveals that she uses an app to point her to Mecca at prayer-time. (One of the strips that made me laugh: Nada falls for a cat-ears headband, but it doesn't look quite right perched on top of her hijab - so Satoko works out how to fit it *underneath*, giving the hijab itself a cat-ear silhouette, to Nada's delight.)

There is some drama - at one point Satoko accepts a ride with a stranger and very nearly gets into danger, with Nada coming to the rescue. But for the most part the story's low-key and charming, dealing with friendships and culture clash in a very nice way.
