I came across this book while building an order on ThriftBooks to try and find some books for an Around-the-World type reading challenge I'm doing. I thought this one sounded nice and light and happy, and it's set in India which is a place of interest for me, so I bought it!

It seems to be an ex-library copy, from the Delafield Public Library. Google tells me that's in Wisconsin, so that's pretty cool! It's been on a bit of a journey already-- from a library in WI to a warehouse in IL, to my US address in NY, and now it's come home with me to Ontario, Canada!

I finished reading this book this afternoon. I thought it was a pretty quick read. It was a bit heavier than I expected at times (some of the author's experiences in childhood and with her future in-laws hit a little too close to home, I think!), but it had a nice, happy ending and I liked that!

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

My husband and I have had to be in Niagara on essential business this week, and we stayed at HoJo Plaza on Victoria Ave. We travel a fair bit but have never stayed at a Howard Johnson Hotel before; it fit the bill for us this time so we have the chain a shot, and I'm happy to say that it was a good hotel experience. One thing I kind of fell in love with about this hotel was the public piano in one of the outdoor areas, so I left this book with it when it was time for us to come home.

If you've found this book, thanks for picking it up and checking out its journal! If you're new to bookcrossing, welcome. We'd love it if you'd stick around with us a while. I really hope that you enjoy both this book and the whole bookcrossing experience!

This book was released as part of the 2021 "52 Towns in 52 Weeks" Release Challenge. I'm not sure how many places I will for in during this pandemic year, but Niagara Falls was Town #3 for me.
