Once again Ms Bauer has delivered a cracking read, though I felt this had a slightly different vibe to it than others I've read. The killer & his murderous style could have been straight out of a Richard Montanari novel & so rather than the uneasy, haunting feel I have come to associate with Bauer this was a bit more action & gore. But there's still a lovely build up of tension & the touches of black humour that I so enjoy. However, I did find reading about Eve's relationship with her father hard at times...& quite emotional.
Overall a really good, compelling read.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Ready to send onto daffodil-2
Received in the post today from Plum-Crazy along with 3 other books and a cd. Thanks very much. This is another author I've recently discovered and enjoyed so I'll see how I get on with this one. (Emscott10 will probably read it after me).
Review:-“Not a book to be read in short bursts-I found I got into it much better once I took a good run at it. It kept my attention and was compelling but I did find it a little over-dramatic, especially towards the end and I questioned Eve’s desire to form a relationship with a serial killer. The story was very gory at times as well as being a little scary.
I’m not sure whether I’d be over-keen to read more by this author.”
Passing to my husband next and then will offer it to Emscott10.

My husband has now read this book and comments as follows:-“A reasonable read right from the start but a bit drawn out towards the end. Lots of twists and turns. “
Will probably release this in a local phone box library as Emscott10 didn’t want it.

Welcome to bookcrossing -you have found a travelling book. Please make a journal entry now to say where you found the book in case it has been moved. Then, when you have read it, please come back and make a further entry saying whether or not you enjoyed the book and why. It is now yours to do as you like with it, pass it to a friend or just leave it somewhere different for someone else to find and help it with its' journey. Of course if you can't bear to part with it at the moment then keep it, but please let me know that you have found it. If you join bookcrossing, which is free and spam-free, you can follow the book on its' travels as you will get an email each time it changes hands, but if you prefer to remain anonymous, that's fine too. Please also say what you intend to do with the book next. Thanks for coming onto the site to let me know you have found the book.
I already have books travelling in many countries around the world-a list can be found on my bookcrossing profile.
When re-releasing this book please be aware that airports are not a good place to leave books unless they have a specific book exchange shelf or area, due to security problems, so they may well just be disposed of. Also charity shops may well discard books that have been labelled in any way and they mostly chose only the books in the very best condition
to place on their shelves and discard the rest-so another bad release option.

I have just picked up this book from the Brampton Phone Box Library....I see that it was put there by fellow bookcrosser Daffodil-2. I intend to read it then release it back into the wild at a later date. When it is safe (covid wise) to do so I will release it somewhere else i.e. I won't put it back in the library as books don't appear to be moving from there at the moment.
