I got this ex-library hardcover at a local Goodwill thrift shop. It's from a cozy-mystery series set in the 1920s and featuring Daisy Dalrymple and her detective-inspector husband as they encounter murders in unexpected places - though given the way cozy mysteries tend to drop corpses at every possible event, perhaps they shouldn't be so surprised... Daisy's pregnant as this book opens, adding some stress to the inevitable crime-solving that interferes with their friend Lucy's wedding. [Not to worry; after some convoluted ups and downs, Lucy finds true love - though not without a healthy dose of skepticism regarding the idea of effortless marital bliss!]
