Today I found a small stack of books that I packed away at the end of 2016, and this book was among them. In 2017, I focused my reading and bookcrossing activity on Canadian literature, so when the year changed over from 2016 to 2017 I packed away some unregistered (non-Canadian) books I had with notes tucked inside for future reference. Now that my Can-Lit project is over, I am registering them so they can be passed on.

I bought this book back in 2016, and I read it at that time. I have never known much about the subject of highway robbery or been very familiar with this period of history, so this book was especially interesting to me. I also enjoyed the historical paintings etc at the back of the book.

My husband and I are headed to Ottawa for the long weekend. Our old friend 401 is being kind of terrible today, so we ended up having to get off for a short break at the ONRoute in Trenton. The ONRoute was a whole lot busier than I've ever seen it before, but I guess that means more people are in the vicinity to find this book :) A very busy rest stop along North America's busiest highway seemed like a fitting place to leave my Highway Girl! I left this book propped up on the counter nearest the front entrance. Safe long weekend travels to whoever finds this :)
