Bret Easton Ellis' debut novel is a story narrated by 18-year-old Clay who returns home to Los Angeles for the holidays. Clay and his friends party, do drugs, have sex and drive around the city and nothing much really happens at all. I found this somewhat boring, although the book was apparently quite shocking when it was first published in 1985.

First encounter with a travelling book, amazing discovery! Location was perfect, the book just fell in my hand.
