Small Great Things: A Novel

As usual, the author tackles a difficult subject and opens up the conversation among differing points of view. I admire her courage to take this on. As a white woman, she understands that she doesn't understand the everyday reality of the black woman. This novel was uncomfortable for me because I identified with each character in some way. This forced me to look at my own biases with the understanding that we cannot really change our biases as much as we can just be aware that we have them. I highly recommend this novel.
I gave this book to BeachGirl59 to read and release.

Controlled release from Ladylit. As she said it is a very difficult topic, I could not tolerate the racism. Stopped reading
