Just could not get interested in this book. Morse's character is extremely unsympathetic and his flashes of inspiration are totally unbelievable. I've not watched the TV programme but I'm sure John Thaw couldn't have played him so horribly.

Colin Dexter was a Master at the Grammar School - you can just see their signage in my photo.
