I found this fair-condition softcover at a local Savers thrift shop, and nabbed it for another release copy. It's a fictionalized version of the life of author Peter (A Year in Provence) Mayle's dog "Boy" - as recounted by Boy himself, in an amusingly arch way. There are some poignant bits involving his early life and abandonment, and much hilarity once he finds himself part of the Mayle household ("the management", as he refers to his people). At the end he provides some "Advice to the Young Dog", with some backhanded advice to people rolled in.

I plan to leave this book inside Panera at around 2:30; hope the finder enjoys it!
