Putting up on bookrelay.
Thanks so much for sending this book out, Lizabeth86! Am looking forward to reading it. :)
Sending to mysterylady36 as part of the 'very wanted books' relay. Thanks so very much for your patience!
Received this in the mail today. Thanks!!!
I finished this one and have very mixed feelings about it. It was very depressing to see how he (and many) grew up in that time frame. It makes me feel very fortunate to have had the childhood that I did even though it wasn't perfect. We always had the food, clothes, and shoes that we needed as well as many other things like toys.
As depressing as this book was, I am curious to find out what happened after he made it to the United States and what happened to the other members of his family. Although I think his dad was a complete shit.
I think I will look for his book that finishes his story. Thanks for sharing this.
